Description
I’ve always loved APC Home on the Move by Bostek. It’s a beautiful, cozy little player home that uses no custom textures or meshes: every eye-catching detail, every lovely element of this Fallout 4 mod was cleverly assembled from repurposed base game assets. For an overhaul like FROST, especially, the idea - a wrecked prewar APC vehicle that the player fixes up into a vehicle home - is a perfect fit for a lone survivor struggling to make it in a post-apocalyptic Commonwealth.
Luckily, Bostek left this mod with fairly generous modification and reuse permissions. So I cracked it open to see what I could do with it via an update patch, and it turns out I could do quite a lot.

Updates
v1.091 - Small fixes to the last: I missed a single placed light, and also neglected to revert lighting template and image space changes. I've run this version through Lightweight Lighting myself and verified that all of its changes have been reverted for the APC. APC Home Update should now be generally immune to changes made by lighting mods - it'll look as intended, and not stutter due to misplaced godrays.
v1.09 - This version of APC Home Update reverts every placed light used in the APC to their original vanilla equivalents, making them immune to any lighting changes you're making in other mods. This should resolve any issues with Lightweight Lighting Overhaul (or with any other light mod, for that matter).
I started with a rewiring of the lights. The original wasn't bad, but it also wasn't a particularly practical layout if a human being actually wanted to sleep in this thing. So now, when you fix the APC for the first time, all the lights default to on (many of them defaulted before to off). The front panel switch now turns off most of the lights, including the kitchen light bulb, and dims the remaining ones.
The sleep area itself is updated. I tweaked a few very minor things - replacing two light fixtures with working ones, moving a few light markers, etc. - and the bedside oil lamp is now toggleable. If you shut off the mains and leave the lamp on, you have a nice cozy little sleep area. Shut them both off, you actually have a realistic and attractive little place to get some sleep.
There is now an alarm clock on the bedside table. The Nuka clock remains broken, and will remain so, but the alarm clock will activate with the correct in-game time.
Finally, the metal overhead bin above the kitchen area now works as an independent container. It is not tied into the shared storage.
- Removed a bit of unnecessary redundancy in the water boiler code and now the "You need a water bottle dumbass" message pops correctly.
- Fixed door linkages for the Valenti and Nakano stops
- Fort Hagen stop location moved to a spot beyond Hagen's southern guard gate.
- Added a new stop at the Natick Banks Red Rocket
- Added stops at Valenti and Kenmore Stations, as well as the Nakano Residence (access to Far Harbor).
- APC Home Update now has native compatibility support for Tunable Radios.
The radio is now tunable via a menu. Activate the radio and you can now select the station from the following
Diamond City Radio, Classical/Institute Radio, Freedom Radio, Old World Radio and OWR2, Atomic Radio, Zone Radio, CONELRAD, Existence 2.0 PipPOD
[NEW] Support for seven new locations (18 total)
[CHANGED] Water boiler now uses vanilla empty bottle formlist
[CHANGED] Map marker added for Glowing Sea Red Rocket location
[FIX] Map no longer shows player constantly in Diamond City
[FIX] Various other small bugs
[COMPAT] Plugin reverted to 0.95, formIDs renumbered for VR compat
