Description

A full rewrite of someone's FO4 port of my old and somewhat controversial Immersive VATS FNV mod. Please note up front: this is a full rewrite. Completely new code, nothing cribbed from either the 2017 FO4 port or my original 2013 FNV mod.

Basically this mod limits your VATS powers to energy weapons and power armor helmets. The premise is that VATS is a networked mechanism that requires both a Pipboy and weapon-based circuitry in order to function, and so will not be available on a homemade revolver cobbled together from old plumbing scrap. Or a lead pipe.

Differences in this version:

  • MCM support (will have a holotape in next version)
  • EnableMe and NoEnable keyword support for custom weapons and armor
  • Energy weapons, PA must have available power for VATS to work, unless keyword-enabled
  • Silent Mode available in MCM, for turning off notifications
  • EnableMe keywords can be placed on weapon mods, for modular VATS support

There is an MO2 Metafile for this mod/patch that is useful when installing non-Nexus files. Download mod/ patch and the metafile into the MO2 download folder and install as normal.
